SONORA, CA — Sierra Rep is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of the
beloved Legally Blonde The Musical, based on the iconic 2001 film and the novel by
Amanda Brown. The production kicks off performances on February 28 at the East
Sonora Theatre, with performances running through March 23. This is a limited run, and ticket buyers are encouraged to buy tickets now as houses are already starting to fill up.
Join us now as we follow the indomitable Elle Woods, a bubbly and determined sorority girl who refuses to let anyone define her capabilities. When her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for not being “serious” enough, Elle sets out to prove him wrong by enrolling at Harvard Law School. With infectious energy, humor, and heart, Legally Blonde is a celebration of self-discovery, friendship, and the power of perseverance.

“This is another wish list title that we have waited for years to produce,” says SRT
Executive Producer Scott Viets. “It is a pure shot of adrenaline, just what we need to kick
off our 46th Anniversary Season!”
The SRT ensemble includes a few familiar faces and many brand new SRT actors: Camryn
Elias stars as the fabulous Elle Woods, with Courtney Glass as Paulette, a hopelessly
romantic beautician. The company includes Marlee Breen Tierney, Destiny Denny-Ellis,
Joelle Tshudy as Elle’s bubbly sorority sisters, Chase Graham as Warner, Taylor Sheppard
as Vivienne, Austin Miller as Emmett, Mandy Corbett as Brooke Wyndham, and Craig

Howard as Professor Callahan. Playing everything from Delta Nu Sorority sisters to work-
out video models, the ensemble of Blonde includes Alexandra Fragoso, Sarah Schori, TJ
Shelton, Elihu Guerrero, Jason Sekili, Kelli Brock, Scott Viets, Laurie Strawn, and SRT Jr
student Dexter Narron. Bruiser Woods, Elle’s pet chihuahua, is played by Tino.
Viets adds: “You’ll be absolutely amazed watching these actors transform into a dozen
different characters throughout the performance.”

The production team includes the design talents Marcella Barbeau (lighting), Jesse
Wilson (sound), Brenda O’Brien (hair and make-up), Matthew Rose (properties), John Jay
Espino (music supervisor) and Maggie Braun is the production stage manager. The
production is directed and designed by SRT Artistic Director Jerry Lee, with choreography
and intimacy direction by Val Rachelle, and music direction by Matt Cusack. Sierra Rep’s
2025 Season Sponsors are John and June Rogers, Micro-Tronics, and Sonora Area
Foundation.

references. Children under 4 are not permitted in the East Sonora Theatre. Previews begin Friday, February 28 with the general run beginning Sunday, March 2, and
